Free bets and sportsbook offers
22 operators on file
We record sports offers from the bookmaker's own promotions and terms pages. This page lists the 22 operators where that offer is currently live, with the wording they published, the date we read it and a link to their terms.
Two different products sit behind the phrase "free bets", and mixing them produces a meaningless league table, so they are separated below. 13 are bet-and-get offers, where you stake your own money first and receive a free bet in return. 9 are deposit matches, where the bookmaker adds a percentage of your deposit as bonus funds. A 200% deposit match and a "bet £10 get £20" are not comparable and are never listed together here.
The bet-and-get table is ordered by return per pound staked — the free bet divided by the qualifying bet. The highest currently recorded returns 6× the qualifying stake, and the lowest qualifying bet on the page is £5. That ratio is arithmetic on the bookmaker's own two numbers, not a rating.

Bet-and-get free bets, by return per pound staked
Ordered by the free bet divided by the qualifying bet, using the bookmaker’s own two numbers. It is the only comparison that treats a “bet £5, get £30” and a “bet £50, get £25” on the same terms, because the qualifying stake is your money and it can lose.

Deposit matches — a different product
These add a percentage of your own deposit as bonus funds rather than crediting a free bet. The bonus normally carries a wagering requirement at minimum odds, so it is not comparable with a bet-and-get offer and is listed separately for that reason.

How a free bet actually pays
A free bet is not the same as cash, because the stake is not returned with the winnings. Place a £10 free bet at odds of 3.00 and a winner pays £20, not £30. In practice a free bet is worth roughly 70–80% of its face value, and less at short odds: the same £10 free bet at 1.50 returns £5.
That is what makes the return-per-pound column the useful one. 'Bet £50, get £25' asks for £50 of your own money at risk to produce a free bet worth perhaps £18 in expectation. 'Bet £5, get £30' asks for £5 and produces something worth perhaps £22. The second is the larger offer despite the smaller headline, and the ordering here reflects that.
Then the qualifying conditions apply. Most bet-and-get offers require minimum odds on the qualifying bet, commonly 1.50 or 2.00, which means your qualifying stake is genuinely at risk rather than parked on a near-certainty. Free bets typically expire in 7 days, are often split into several smaller stakes, and are frequently excluded from cashed-out or each-way bets.
Deposit matches work differently again: the bonus funds usually carry a wagering requirement measured in multiples of the bonus or of deposit-plus-bonus, at minimum odds, within a time limit. A 100% match up to €100 at 5x wagering on odds of 1.80+ requires €500 of turnover before anything can be withdrawn.
What to check before you claim
- Stake not returned. Winnings from a free bet are paid without the stake. Discount the face value by roughly a quarter before comparing offers.
- Minimum odds. On both the qualifying bet and often the free bet itself. Short-odds bets usually do not qualify.
- Qualifying stake at risk. Your own money is bet first, and it can lose. A free bet is a rebate on a real wager, not a gift.
- Expiry. Free bets commonly expire in 7 days and are lost unused. Some are released in instalments over weeks.
- Market restrictions. Which sports, bet types and cash-out options the free bet can be used on.
- Wagering on deposit matches. Deposit bonuses carry turnover requirements at minimum odds. Free bets from bet-and-get offers usually do not.
- Licence and market. An offer recorded on a bookmaker's page may not be open where you live. Each profile shows the licence evidence we hold.
How these offers are recorded
Every row comes from the operator’s own bonus or terms page, not from an advert or an affiliate feed. We store the wording they published, the page it came from and the date we read it, which is the date shown in the list above. 22 of the 22 operators here link straight to their own terms from this page. Where a figure is missing it is missing because their wording does not state it; we do not fill gaps from third-party feeds, and we publish no bonus amount we cannot point at a source for.
Which operators are listed here, and the order they are listed in, are decided by the recorded evidence alone. No operator can pay to appear here, to appear higher, or to have a figure in these tables read differently.
Offers change without notice and an operator can withdraw one the day after we read it. Treat the date as what it is: when we looked. Always open the operator’s terms before you register.
Questions about free bets
- What is a free bet?
- A stake the bookmaker credits to your account, most often after you place and settle a qualifying bet of your own. Winnings are paid without the stake returned, so a £10 free bet at even money returns £10, not £20.
- Which bookmaker has the best free bet?
- We do not name one, and nobody who does can show you their working. What the table gives you instead is the return per pound of qualifying stake, computed from the bookmaker's own two numbers, so you can apply your own judgement to a figure that is checkable.
- Is a bigger free bet always better?
- No. 'Bet £50, get £25' returns half a pound of free bet per pound risked; 'Bet £5, get £30' returns six. The qualifying stake is your own money and it can lose, so the size of the free bet means little without the size of the bet that unlocks it.
- What is the difference between a free bet and a deposit bonus?
- A free bet is a stake you place, paid out without the stake returned, usually with no wagering on the winnings. A deposit bonus is bonus funds in your balance, normally carrying a wagering requirement at minimum odds before withdrawal. They are listed separately here for that reason.
- Do free bets have wagering requirements?
- The free bet itself usually does not — you place it, and the winnings are cash. The conditions sit on the qualifying bet instead: minimum odds, minimum stake, and settlement before the free bet is credited. Deposit matches are the ones with turnover requirements.
- Are these offers available in my country?
- Not necessarily. An offer recorded on a bookmaker's page can be restricted to the markets they hold a licence in, and licensing differs by country. Each operator's profile shows which markets we hold licence evidence for and what kind of evidence it is.
- How do you choose which bookmakers appear?
- They appear because we recorded a current sports offer on their own pages, and for no other reason. There is no ranking, no score and no paid placement, and this page does not tell you where to bet.
- How current are these offers?
- Each row carries the date we last read it from the bookmaker's own page. Sign-up offers change frequently, so open their terms before you register rather than relying on a figure we read on an earlier date.
Safer gambling
18+ only. A bonus is a marketing cost to the operator, not an edge for the player, and no offer on this page changes the odds of the games it applies to. If gambling stops being entertainment, use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools every licensed operator must provide.
